popular opinion

"Mr. Hildebrand, we should take the Coke machines out of our school, because I heard that Coke supports the gays."

And still...we have to fight to get religious instruction out of the Public School system.

Reminds me of a movie I saw (End of the Spear) a few nights ago. Turns out the Christian production company and the son of the murdered missionary being portrayed were really hesitant to let the actor play the part due to his openly gay lifestyle. Apparently sexual preference can be more imporant than acting skills when hiring an actor. In their defence, they did hire him and he did a good job. But how weird is this apples and oranges thing that people use to make decisions like who to hire and what brand of pop (should be none of course) to put in school vending machines.

I'm curious... how old was the student who made that comment? Also, how do you respond to comments like that?

Do you sometimes feel like you are living in the movie Footloose?

That is pure P*pzi Propaganda.
Everybody knows that the 'other Cola' has some weird schtrangleholdengrippen on South Eastern Manitoba.

It is a shame that the local kids aren't even allowed to choose their own brand of soft drink at the local Witch Burnings and Shunnings. These events are all sponsored by you-know-who and that's just wrong on so many levels.

PS.
You had better vahtch to zee if der Volunteerzenvolk are handing out free P*pzi zoftendrinkenz in der Zcience Klassenroom ven zey inztruct zee Jootzenwankers about Hoomahn Reprodukzionizm.
