If you don't have any short term memory on your browser it doesn't matter how many frickin' times you measure... I usually measure about 5 times and cut twice... on a good day.
Yes this is in reference to the set for the play "Treasure Island". I'm building an island littered with 16' palm trees, a galley, a sandy grave site, and a ship complete with main mast, yard arms, rigging, and main sail.
Measure twice, cut once is a reminder to myself that too much self confidence never goes far towards latching on to a permanent contract. It's also good to RELEARN that lesson early in the spring project season.
While we're at it I would just like to mention how annoying those tedious la di da arseholes on TV Home Improvement Shows are..you know the pros with their $20,000 fancy-schmancy Miter Saw from NASA who who can zing off a 'perfect' corner molding or counter corner just from eyeballing it from 2o feet away on the day before...ptooey!!

Been there, done that. Or rather, said that, after the event :-(
Dare we ask...? No, better not...
Worst case for me was a roomful of carpet. Or a room not-quite-full...
is this in reference to the set for the school play?
And are we speaking with regret or victory?

Hey you!!! What's up?
Aw, come on Brian, show everyone what you were measuring twice and cutting once.
As you age, sonny, there's a preamble part of this that you will need to add, thusly:
Figure thrice.
Measure twice.
Cut once.
Happy Father's Day Brian!
Still waiting....
HEY Mr April 25th
..maybe you should change the title to I Wondered.
Best advice my father ever gave me. I apply it to everything.
I'm waiting!
