Wow! Where did they all go? You must have a very powerful garden vac.

It's the 90km/h winds we've been having. The leaves are all in flight over Ontario somewhere.

This is brutal. Our autumn lasts forever. I guess we're one of the few climatic zones that has 4 distinct seasons.

PS It was 20 degrees here today. Nya nya.

20 degrees eh? I woke up to -3 this morning and I don't think it's going much higher. Every year I ask myself, "Why do I live here?" Many Manitobans do the same, and some actually go the next step. My brother moved to Kelowna a few years ago and I don't think they'll ever move back. Although I think it was hard for them to stomach the $460,000.00 price tag of a new home. You could buy everything on my street for that amount of money.
They love the climate, however, and it seems worth the cost to more Manitobans than just them.

I came home today to see my Korean friends outside with their baby in fall winter gear. He could hardly walk. I took my jacket off and did the "It's not winter yet!" dance. Two things that could be crossing their minds: I am nuts, and they are nuts for wanting to live here.

I love Winnipeg!

That should read FULL winter gear.

Carol: You really are nuts...and is that really such a bad thing? I love Winnipeg too. I can't wait to move back there. Although it may take us another 14 years or so.
